Berger-Seidle’s Classic BaseOil is a high-Solid, environmentally friendly impregnation oil specifically formulated for wood floors that provides deep penetration and sealing properties.

This premium treatment, which includes a customizable color change, offers a timeless, authentic look and feel, though it requires periodic re-oiling to preserve its luster.
Our state-of-the-art dustless sanding captures 98% of dust, utilizing advanced equipment paired with HEPA-certified vacuums for a cleaner and healthier environment. Your floor is filled with species-specific wood filler unless otherwise specified. NOTE: This type of finish REQUIRES RE-OILING every 3-5 years depending on wear and tear. Repairs can be completed very easily and the re-oiling process can typically be completed in a single day. Our maintenance service includes a deep cleaning and re-oiling. After re-oiling, your floors will look brand new again! A properly maintained oil floor may rarely, if ever, require another refinishing.

This is the most cost effective solution to revive, and protect your wood floors. Our recoat service includes a full deep cleaning with our Bona Power Scrubber, a light abrading of the existing finish and a fresh coat of Berger-Seidle 2K finish. Available in Satin or Matte. *This service DOES NOT allow for a colour change or removes existing damage other then surface scratches, scuffs and sheen inconsistencies. For prefinished floors, we use a bonding agent which optimizes adhesion and conditions the existing factory finish to properly accept the new finish.
STAINS + OILS
We offer a wide selection of stains and penetrating oils. We are confident we have something you will love, and if not, we can mix a custom colour for a unique look!
Cerusing wood is a centuries old technique developed in the 1500’s. By using two distinct colours, cerused wood gives a sense of contrast or two-tone look by highlighting the grain of the wood. Oak is the desired choice for a cerused look due to it's open grain characteristics, however other woods such as Hickory and Ash are also good candidates for Cerusing.
Wire brushing hardwood texturizes the wood grain to add a rustic appearance. This process pulls the soft grain from the growth ring leaving the heart wood (aka hardwood) exposed on the surface. This helps create a more durable floor that can mask future imperfections. Not all species are suitable for wire brushing, the most common is Red and White Oak.
